So tell us about your business, how did it all start?
What’s your greatest achievement so far?
There’s been a lot of achievements along the way and I’m grateful and happy for each one of them and I don’t think there’s any that is far greater than the other, they all brought me here so.
What are the two major challenges you’ve passed through as a business owner and how were you able to overcome them.
Oh I’d say the two major challenges have been being able to set myself apart from all the others and finding my foot in the industry even though I’m not where I hoped to be yet. Well, I feel that knowing how to maneuver myself in the sea of similar businesses screaming for customer’s attention is one of the ways I’ve been able to overcome so far
What inspires you to keep going?
I’m inspired by my dream and goal for the brand so that alone keeps me going on days when all I just want to do is quit.
What advice do you have for young or aspiring giftpreneurs in the industry?
Learn from people who have been in the business longer than you, listen to them talk and draw from all their collective thoughts to form your own opinions.
A day in the life of an entrepreneur
What’s your morning routine like?
What’s your typical day at work like and your favorite moment of the day?
Typical day at work is me under the sun sourcing for some stuff or me at the store curating customers orders.
What do you do when you’re not working?
When I’m not working, I’m somewhere watching a movie or sleeping. I love to sleep a lot
What are the most important things to consider when starting a gift business?
Keen interest. Eye for unique items. A wide mind.
Share with us the most interesting gift project you’ve done and why it was interesting for you.
Oh that would be when we curated over 50 boxes of Ramadan gift hampers for Lagos State House of Assembly. We were given a deadline of 3 days to work on it during the lockdown and we pulled it off.
What’s the greatest business lesson you’ve learnt in your entrepreneurial journey?
Be trustworthy and reliable, it will keep your customers coming back for life.
